Alan Jones has broad management experience gained during more than 35 years in the oil industry. He has wide-ranging overseas experience, having worked on assignments in Singapore, Indonesia, the Middle East, Colombia and Germany when he held senior positions with responsibility for frontline delivery.

Most recently he was Regional President, Scotland for BP with responsibility for the company’s North Sea businesses. He was heavily involved in reputation and ethics issues as well as business transformation and future strategy.

During this time he was also Vice-President of UKOOA (United Kingdom Offshore Operators Association) and took the oil and gas industry lead on taxation and reputation management.

Prior to this period with BP he was responsible for a $6bn development in Colombia in partnership with the Colombian government.
