Phil Murray is CEO of Petrotechnics and founded the Company in 1989 after recognising a significant operational need in the Oil & Gas industry to use technology as an enabler to intelligently embed, automate and manage frontline work processes to drive operational efficiencies and improve safety management.
Since that time Phil has been the visionary driver of the company’s efforts to provide technology based solutions to organisations in hazardous industries to reduce operational risk, optimize operational performance, drive continuous improvement and move beyond compliance.
As leader of the company, Phil is responsible for managing and driving global teams to support the company’s customers in over 22 countries. For over 20 years, Phil’s work and organisation has been instrumental in changing the way operators work providing them with the tools to manage the relationship between operational performance and risk.
Prior to founding Petrotechnics, Phil worked internationally for BP for 10 years in a variety of technical, operational and managerial roles. Phil has won numerous business awards and has been author of a number of articles in key trade Oil & Gas publications including the Journal of Petroleum Technology (JPT) ‘Bringing Frontline Workers into the 21st Century’. Phil has a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Salford.
