John Broomfield, Solutions Manager
John has spent over 25 years working in the petrochemical and oil and gas industry both in the UK and abroad. His background is in instrumentation and control in various spheres of design, construction, commissioning and maintenance activities at supervisory and management levels.
John started his working life at ICI, where early in his career he recognised the need for skilled and competent personnel and the benefits that quality training and coaching can bring. His project management skills were challenged and greatly enhanced when he went to work in the Middle East in the early 80's on construction and maintenance projects. On his return to the UK John returned to management of operations and maintenance contracts which led him to the development and subsequent management of a training scheme for apprentices, which at the time, was one of the most successful schemes in the O&G sector.
John joined Petrotechnics in 2000 at a time when WAMS, was being developed and deployed to BP in Colombia. John then joined the design team for WAMS successor, Sentinel PRO. As a member of the Leadership Team John now manages the Solutions Team who are responsible for the configuration, testing, deployment, training and support of Sentinel PRO globally.
