Petrotechnics dedicated training facility was officially opened on Wednesday 22nd November 2006. At the opening, Training Centre Coordinator, Michelle Lockwood said, "we are all very proud of this facility, and it is our aim to provide state of the art training in a modern learning environment. The academy is going to make a valuable contribution to safety within the industry". In the short period since opening, the academy has already trained some 1,000 delegates. With 70% of North Sea operators now using the ISSoW solution and with many overseas operators implementing similar models, demand for training will remain high for many years ahead.
