Our clients like what we do, our business is growing quickly and we need more good people to help grow our company.

We are always keen to hear from people who probably have had a leadership role in industry (preferably in oil and gas or in heavy industry where risk management, opportunity optimisation and work efficiency are important for success). In addition to industry experience our people have consulting skills, which may have been gained in a variety of ways. We are a very diverse organisation and we look for "grey haired" experience as well as people who have been in industry a short time and may have just completed their MBA. We are also looking for people with the right aptitudes for our business.

We are a global company working for major oil and gas organisations so you can expect to work anywhere in the world.

Developing Our People

It is a happy circumstance that assisting our clients to conduct their business operations safer, more effectively, and more efficiently (at successively higher levels within their organisations) also provides a vehicle for self actualisation and self realisation for our people. This allows us to fully realise our potential as individuals and as a company.

Petrotechnics is continuously cultivating and/or acquiring a broader set of consulting and other skills - to ensure that all Petrotechnics team members (both those who have been here for a while and those who are newer to our company) have a conscious and intimate understanding of the value and 'magic' of the Petrotechnics approach.

We consistently identify our strengths: In the context of consulting, project management, coaching and training, because it is important to use the strengths that we have to help accomplish our goals and pursue our strategies. We are always asking questions. Do we know and recognise all of our existing strengths? Are there attributes, competencies, etc. that we ought to have in order to accomplish our goals that we might need to build?

Continuing improvement: We believe that we can always improve our work and the processes we use in doing our work. Some of the approaches that we use are as follows:-

Document our unconscious competence: Find the things that we do almost automatically (maybe, because we understand our clients' work environment and what it takes to get things accomplished in that environment) that are not documented anywhere but are important to the success of our efforts. Some of these things may be particular to specific individuals within Petrotechnics. If we want to ensure that all our consultants and trainers to the best possible job they can for our clients, so we must strive to identify and share individual best practices.

In developing our consultancy solutions from "Boardroom to Frontline" we always build-in the Petrotechnics 'magic.' We ensure that the Petrotechnics values, beliefs and approach are built into new services and products. We identify the specific consulting and/or training competencies that are essential in facilitating this development process. We include the rest of the Petrotechnics team, to ensure that the Petrotechnics interdisciplinary and highly integrated approach to development of services and products is sustained.

We are not complacent and we are always taking a fresh look at what we do and how we do it, to make improvements where we can. We encourage all consultants and trainers to engage in continually improving our services and products, and especially the manner in which we implement those in our clients' work environment.
