Petrotechnics Wins Offshore Achievement Awards
Global leaders in the development of operational and safe systems of work, Petrotechnics has achieved another major milestone following the presentation of the Most Promising Company Award at this year‘s Scottish Offshore Achievement Awards.
The Awards, now in their 19th year, recognise the outstanding achievements and contribution to the economy made by businesses in the offshore energy sector. The Most Promising Company Award rewards excellence in strategic focus and vision, realised through outstanding performance and corporate leadership.
Petrotechnics implements radically improved working processes in hazardous industries and the company‘s innovative solutions are proven in the chemical, petrochemical and oil and gas industries.
Phil Murray, Petrotechnics‘ CEO commented; ‘We are absolutely delighted to have been presented with this prestigious award, which further reinforces our position as a global leader in operational and safety effectiveness.
‘When I started Petrotechnics in 1990, my vision was to utilise technology to improve operational effectiveness. 14 years on, it is extremely rewarding to be recognised by the industry for delivering real value to our clients by improving frontline business processes, and as a company that has great potential for continuing growth and success.‘
In the North Sea alone, Petrotechnics‘ systems are operational on over 60% of oil and gas installations, safeguarding over 9,000 personnel, improving productivity and enhancing frontline safety.
Murray added; ‘For every client our goal is to boost bottom-line performance by designing safety into people and processes. Among our clients are Shell, ExxonMobil and BP who are utilising our systems and services on a major scale to achieve significant performance improvements and cost savings. For example, our systems will deliver Shell UK Expro direct savings of £5million per annum and significantly improve frontline productivity.‘
Since its inception in 1990 Petrotechnics has grown from two employees to 55 and has operations in the UK and US. The company recently moved to new premises at Craigshaw Business Park, Aberdeen, UK to accommodate this growth.
