What are the basic PC Literacy Skills ?

Basic PC Skills include:

  • Be capable of entering text, numbers and spaces using the keyboard (speed is not an issue)
  • Be able to log in using a Username and Password
  • Understand how to use desktop icons to launch applications
  • Understand the terms mouse, mouse click, screen, cursor, keyboard and menu in the IT sense
  • Be able to use the left mouse button to select an object on the screen
  • Be familiar with Tool Bars and know how to select a menu choice
  • Understand use of Scroll bars.

How will I be assessed ?

The assessment process is a combination of the delegate's own ability to complete the question sets pertaining to the Sentinel PRO® System along with their practical skills when using it.

The majority of our courses have a pre-defined pass mark which must be met- or exceeded to successfully complete the course.

What is the Instructor Led Classroom Availability?

How Long does each course last?

  • Awareness – approximately 30 mins
  • Level 1 eLearning – approximately 2-3 hrs
  • Level 1 Instructor Led – 1 day
  • Level 1.5 – ½ day
  • Level 2 – 1 – 2 days
  • Level 3 – 1-3 days

Please note that delegates must arrive on or before the stated start time. Late arrivals may be asked to re-book and attend an alternative course / date and time.

What Do I need to bring to a training course?

At least one form of photographic ID

Where is the training delivered?

Depending on the course it may be delivered at one of our Petrotechnics approved centre's or at your site.

How do I cancel someone from a course?

Click here to contact our Support Team and supply the name of the person you wish to cancel along with the date and title of the course they are booked on.

Please inform the Support Team of any changes or cancellations to your ISSOW bookings

What happens if I do not successfully pass a course assessment?

Our trainers will spend time remediating with you and you may attend another course at a future date
