Houston, Texas, September 6, 2017 – Petrotechnics, the developer of Proscient – the hazardous industries’ first software platform for operational excellence – today announces the successful deployment of its solution at a major liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal in the Gulf of Mexico. This is a significant addition to Proscient’s existing LNG customer base in North America.

Petrotechnics was pleased to participate as a silver sponsor of the 2017 AIChE/CCPS Global Congress on Process Safety. The 13th annual conference held March 26-29, in San Antonio, Texas, brought together over 1,000 process safety professionals from chemical and other hazardous industries globally. The forum enabled sharing of practical insights and technological advances in all aspects of process safety. Key topics included industry/industrie 4.0 – challenges and opportunities for chemical industry process safety and human factors/ergonomics.
The conference focused on optimising the best return on assets through energy conservation, new tools for the successful completion of projects, operational excellence and encouraging a culture of reliability and efficient turnaround maintenance. Under the stream HSE and Risk Management, the audience discussed operational risks arising from a complicated set of interrelated parameters. These risks are viewed and managed in differing ways depending on the role and level in the organisation.
