Petrotechnics boasts excellent HR Manager

Following a glamorous awards dinner on Thursday, 29th May, Petrotechnics’ HR Manager was recognised amongst 300 of her peers as being an ‘Excellent HR Manager’. Shona Taylor walked away with the prestigious cHerRies award after working for the Aberdeen-based company for just over a year.
The inaugural Urquhart Partnership’s cHerRies awards were established to highlight the outstanding achievements, innovations and excellence in HR in the North of Scotland. Karen Reid, Business Development Director of Cushydoos said: “The awards are a fantastic platform on which to recognise and reward the excellent and innovative work being done in the HR community. All the winners are well deserved and should feel immensely proud.”
Already an award-winning company, Petrotechnics has been recognised for its Health, Safety and Environment achievements; Product of the Year and an Information Technology Award for its solutions which are installed across frontline operations around the world. Petrotechnics CEO, Phil Murray, said: “Shona’s impact has been impressive by any measure and she has been a key contributor to Petrotechnics’ continuing success.” This success was recently recognised in the European Business Awards where Petrotechnics won the European Growth Strategy of the Year Award.
Commenting on the recent award win, Mr Murray continued, “With 2 years of 60% growth, Petrotechnics recognised the need for an exceptional HR professional who could quickly establish an HR team, recruit over 100 high-calibre people and implement policies and procedures that would support the organisation’s powerful culture – Shona did all this and more and it is refreshing to see her peers recognise her for something we have always known, Shona is an excellent HR Manager!”
