Petrotechnics Join Aberlour’s Launch of Aberdeen Woofwalk
Aberdeen 16 March – Petrotechnics, the global leader in transforming operational performance and lowering operational risk has helped Aberlour, Scotland’s Children’s Charity launch the Aberdeen Woofwalk, part of the Kiltwalk, a series of charity walks taking place across Scotland.
Taking place alongside the Kiltwalk, the Woofwalk enables participants to take their dogs along on a 26 mile or 8 mile walk helping to raise funds for Scotland’s leading children’s charity. The Aberdeen Woofwalk and Kiltwalk will be taking place on Sunday 1st June starting at Duthie Park.
Representatives from Aberlour and Petrotechnics were joined by some furry friends to launch the Aberdeen Woofwalk 2014 at the Petrotechnics head office in Tullos, Aberdeen. Phil Murray, Petrotechnics Chief Executive said, “The Petrotechnics team have selected Aberlour as one of our chosen Charities this year because of the important work they do in helping Scottish children overcome some of the most overwhelming obstacles. The Kiltwalk and Woofwalk will be great fun for everyone, finally dispelling the myth of never working with children and animals!”
Fundraising manager Marie-Claire Jones said “We are delighted to have the support of Petrotechnics in Aberdeen this year, and I’d like to extend my great thanks to CEO Phil Murray, and all the staff who have signed up for the Woofwalk at the Kiltwalk. “It’s great to see such a big team putting their best foot forward and registering and we will be there on the day to cheer them on. The money raised as a result of these events help us to continue our vital work, helping some of the most vulnerable children in the country to live safe, happy lives.”
